Alexia Latham: has worked in PR & communications for over 20 years. She has and has advised both corporates and individuals – from FTSE 10’s to start ups and entrepreneurs – across a wide range of industries and sectors including retail, leisure, media, FMCG, professional and financial services, support services and industrials, luxury brands as well as public sector bodies, NGOs and charities.
Alexia has previously worked in agency as well as in-house and has been a freelance communications consultant and occasional journalist for over a decade. Her broad cross-discipline experience spans financial PR, corporate comms, internal comms through to CSR, sustainability and consumer (incl luxury) PR. Key skills: stakeholder auditing and engagement including mapping and research, insight planning; strategic counsel and reputation management, both proactive and reactive, including crisis management; brand positioning; campaign development (B2B/thought-leadership as well as B2C); media strategy including social media and media relations (ie implementation); personal presentation, media and presentation coaching; as well as IPO and transactional/M&A work. She also has experience of working across – and in situ – in different markets on international campaigns.
She has increasingly been involved in related policy and public affairs work for clients including political stakeholder engagement on behalf of various charities and NGOs and intergovernmental ‘soft power’ projects (for Curzon PR); and latterly more discrete – and discreet! – projects for government bodies. Separately she works part-time with shareholder proxy solicitation agency Boudicca.
Alexia read Law at Cambridge University and began her working life as a solicitor with City firm Simmons & Simmons where she spent seven years, and went on to become in-house Counsel for US firm CACI before entering the PR world, starting in financial PR for Tulchan Communications.
