Ashish Kundi is a keynote speaker, writer and Head of RE and PSHE. As a nationally acclaimed thought leader. Ashish has worked with Radio 1 contributing to podcasts on issues of diversity. He is an author for RE Today, a global magazine, where his work focuses on providing authentic Hindu thought. Ashish is also a BAME Ed speaker who has contributed to events nationally about the decolonisation of the curriculum and leadership development. Ashish also works as a consultant on a national scale on Anti-Racism projects, his most recent work is with NATRE developing resources to promote Anti-Racism in schools empowering teachers across the country to engage in the conversation with confidence
Ashish Kundi is the founder of Teacher Consciousness a blog that promotes the decolonisation of the curriculum and provides reflections and insight in leadership development. Through Teacher Consciousness Ashish has collaborated with high profile leaders such as former Head Coach of England Women's Cricket, Paul Shaw. Ashish and Paul provided insight into ethical leadership and how to help teams go beyond what they believe to be possible. Ashish, through Teacher Consciousness, has also made clear his ambition to increase the positive representation of BAME communities in all areas of the curriculum in order to empower BAME youngsters by showing a mirror of achievement.
Ashish is the Hindu thought leader for the East Riding Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education providing authentic Hindu thought and strategies to provide authentic religious education in the classroom. Ashish is also the leader of YorkshiR.E. a network of Religious Education teachers across the UK and Ireland. With YorkshiR.E. Ashish runs events and provides training to teachers nationally which then empowers all to deliver engaging, authentic and thought-provoking Religious Education in schools.
