Ben oversees all research areas at the CCS Insight in his role as Chief Analyst.
He has a strong focus on smart connected devices including mobile phones, wearables, extended reality and smart home technology.
He has over 20 years' experience in the mobile sector, including a period as research vice president at Gartner, where he led a global team of analysts. Prior to that he was a director of Mobile Streams, and has held positions at Lucent Technologies and Vodafone, involved in launching SMS and mobile data.
Ben is a notable industry figure and ranked as one of the top five tech analysts in the US and Europe in a report by Apollo Research. He is frequently quoted in publications such as the Financial Times and The Economist, and regularly appears on the BBC and other media outlets.
He is also the founder and co-curator of the Mobile Phone Museum - a non-profit initiative to safeguard a vast collection of mobile phones and support education and learning on communications technology.
His house was awarded the "Best Integrated Home" by the CEDIA awards in 2017.
