Dr Jane Mullins is a dementia nurse consultant, Author of Finding the Light in Dementia, a Guide for families, friends and caregivers and Founder of her training platform of the same name which includes contributions from people living with dementia and masterclasses with leading professionals and researchers in the field. This platform also offers a wellbeing hub to provide resources (podcasts, films etc) for the mental and physical health of people living with the condition, caregivers and health and social care professionals. Her PhD explored multisensory ways of communicating with people living with moderate dementia and she is continuing this research at the Awen Institute, Swansea University. Jane's background includes dementia research nursing in the memory clinics of Bath and Cardiff, nursing and management in care homes and hospitals and care of people living with dementia in the community. She has also taught Health and Social Care at undergraduate level and lectured in nursing and sociology at postgrad.
Jane's book recently featured in the BBC series Shetland.
