Louise has been CEO of The Urology Foundation, a medical research charity since 2011. The Urology Foundation (TUF) funds research into urological cancers and non-malignant diseases. It also supports the training and development of urology professionals, so that patients benefit faster from improved skills and new techniques. Urology covers the kidneys and bladder, and the male sexual organs, including the prostate. There are 5 urological cancers: bladder, kidney, prostate, penile & testicular. Every year over 75,000 people are diagnosed with a urological cancer. Urinary incontinence affects somewhere between 6 - 23 million people in the UK and 2 million people suffer from kidney disease. TUF's mission is to increase survival and reduce the suffering caused by urology diseases.
Louise can provide general information about urology cancers and diseases, and signs and symptoms. In addition, she can also source expert urologists to comment on matters which require a medical practitioner.
