Mark Brooks OBE is a national domestic abuse and equalities advisor with the latter focussing on the wellbeing of men and boys in the UK.
He is an accomplished media spokesperson with 25 years' experience of TV, radio and press interviews.
He is the chair of trustees for the ManKind Initiative charity for male victims of domestic abuse. He is qualified expert, receiving an OBE in 2019 for services in this field). He advises a range of Government Departments and the Crown Prosecution Service.
Mark is the national lead for International Men’s Day in the UK, an event that is increasing in popularity every year (over 200 UK events in 2020) focusing on men and boys' wellbeing. These issues include suicide, men's health, boys education, domestic abuse, fatherhood and the negative portrayal of men, fathers and masculinity. He also campaigns against discrimination with respect to men and boys.
He is also a trustee of the Men and Coalition charity, a network of 100 academics and charities supporting men and boys’ wellbeing.
