Rachel Creeger is a multi award winning stand up comedian, writer and director, and the only practising orthodox Jewish woman on the mainstream UK comedy circuit. She is co-host of chat show podcast "Jew Talkin' To Me?" and resident MC for "Comedy Upstairs at the Adam & Eve”, a long established new material night for professional comics.
Rachel is a regular guest on BBC London Radio, casting a comedic eye on interesting news stories. She was a script associate on BBC Radio 4 comedy sketch show 2525 and has been a featured guest on Radio 4, Radio 2, BBC 3CR, Radio Essex and Salford City Radio. Rachel also writes for the mainstream and Jewish press.
Prior to her career in the arts, Rachel worked as a community artist, youth worker, substance misuse counsellor, therapist, school-home liaison officer, and educator. She was mainly based within Pupil Referral Units and absolutely loved working with challenging young people and their families. She's a mum of two boys who, despite her parenting, have never needed her professional intervention. There was also a short stint as a dental nurse, but that's probably best left alone!
