I work as a mountaineering instructor and expedition leader taking teams to remote and challenging environments in the high mountains. I am a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and have a PhD in Glaciology.
Expeditions have taken me to over 75 countries including Iran, Afghanistan, Nepal, Alaska, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Personal trips have included a solo cycle tour in Zimbabwe, overland travel from Nepal back to the UK. I was part of the first all-women's team to climb the most 4000m peaks in the Alps (56 out of 82 climbed in 2019), made a first ascent of 6000m peak in the far west of Nepal and four first ascents in South Georgia, Antarctica.
I am interested in slow travel, responsible tourism and sustainability in the adventure travel sector.
