COVID has moved schools 5-10 years forward on digital in a few months. Classlist launched in 2016 after Susan and Clare, both returning to the UK, experienced how difficult it is to contact fellow school parents due to data protection. After their pilot system went viral in weeks, they grew a team with security and community building expertise, passionately committed to making life easier for school parents. They recently secured £900,000 in crowdfunding.
Headquartered in Oxford, Classlist has a fast growing team. Classlist is free for schools and parents and is funded by business sponsorship and advertising. Classlist’s in-house dev team have built three platforms for parents; schools and advertisers. The parent platform helps parents to get stuff done; the school platform helps schools community with parents, run events and fundraise. Advertisers can access a high touch supportive account management service of post an advert directly using Classlist’s custom built advertising platform.
